330 million from EU fund for Polish energy projects
At a press conference in Brussels, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that on the first day of the EU summit Poland had reached agreements on the issues which were most important to this country.
PM Tusk said that he saw with satisfaction the initial acceptance to finance energy projects within the recovery fund of 5 billion euros. From the fund, Poland may get 330 million euro.
He also confirmed that the meeting was willing to earmark 600 million euros for the Eastern Partnership project although he said certain matters, such as visas, still needed to be closed. PM Tusk said this could be a source of satisfaction for the Polish delegation.
The Polish Premier also spoke of agreement with difficult partners such as Denmark and Britain on issues to be debated at the coming climate summit in Copenhagen.
