Special Economic Zone - Krakow Technology Park

The Kraków Special Economic Zone - Kraków Technology Park (SEZ-KTP) covers 528,84 hectares. It is situated in Małopolskie and Podkarpackie Regions (Voivodeships), where the rate of public assistance is highest in Poland. The SEZ-KTP consists of 19 subzones situated in 17 communes (municipalities).

To this day, 74 permits to operate in SEZ-KTP have been issued, which established 5828 jobs with the total outlay of PLN 1,298 billion.

The Zone will continue its operation to the end of 2020.
The offer

Investment in Małopolska, on lands enjoying the status of special economic zone, provides numerous benefits to entrepreneurs:

* possibility of acquiring public aid package: relief from Corporate Income Tax (CIT), with the actual value depending on the size of the business and the volume of the actual investment
* assistance in the investment process
* facilitation of contacts with local authorities and administration
* option to purchase real estate
* option to rent office space
* possibility of starting a business within a specially prepared and properly fitted area, in the vicinity of other businesses.

Awarding the status of special economic zone to the Kraków Technology Park created highly beneficial economic and infrastructural conditions for undertaking business based on close cooperation between the people of business and science. It is the possibility of resorting to the achievements of science and plentiful resources of highly qualified specialists, that is - besides tax reliefs - and incentive to invest within Kraków Technology Park.
Industries and sectors

The special economic zone is intended for all firms from the sector of traditional industry, with the exception of manufacturing of products that requires state licenses (as e.g. alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, steel production). Besides those, a permit to operate within the zone may also be obtained by businesses operating in the following services sectors: ICT, research and development in natural and technical sciences, accounting and audits, book-keeping with the exception of tax statements, technical testing and analysing services, and call centres.

Permits to operate within the zone are awarded to large, small, and medium-sized enterprises - both Polish and foreign.

Land that belongs to the special economic zone and is available for investment is situated in the following subzones: Tarnów, Nowy Sącz, Bochnia, Dobczyce, Gdów, Gorlice, Książ Wielki, Limanowa, Niepołomice, Oświęcim, Słomniki, Wolbrom and Zator (for more, turn to Investment offers).
