Japanese are shooting a film about Poland
What has changed in Poland since 1989? Japanese Public TV – HNK Enterprises is trying to answer this question at the moment. The TV decided to send their TV camera crew in order to shoot a film about changes in Poland.
Japanese decided to show Gdansk, which is famous for the shipyard of Lech Wałęsa and Legnica, which was occupied by Russian soldiers till 1993.
“We want to show all changes, and development of your democracy and economy. We want to check if Poland can be called – Japan of Europe” – said Ryuju Osaki, director of the film.
HNK Enterprises has been observing Poland since 1980. In 1980 they published a long interview with Lech Wałęsa and next showed many films of Andrzej Wajda.
Japanese want to show everything in Poland. They visited the shipyard, old military base and even outlet ducts. What is more they interviewed Aleksander Kwaśniewski and Tadeusz Mazowiecki.
This documentary film will be shown in June during prime time (at 10 p.m.) as a first part of cycle about transformations in Europe.
