Polish Television did not emit a material about an unfavourable opinion poll for the Polish President

From the monday news "Wiadomości", short before the broadcast, was removed a material about faint chances of the Polish President Lech Kaczyński to be re-elected in the next elections and his threats towards a journalist Monika Olejnik.

Yesterday, "Gazeta Wyborcza" wrote about this case, informing that the material was removed by the Presidential Office, with help of a chairman of Polish Television (TVP) Andrzej Urbański.

 

However, the spokesman of TVP Aneta Wrona informed that the material was removed by the director of "Wiadomości" Krzysztof Rak.

 

- The material was ready waiting on its turn to be realised on the air, writes "Gazeta Wyborcza". - After 5pm., a few minutes after the other TVP editorial offices could see what would be in "Wiadomości" at 19:30, called the chairman of TVP and ordered to remove the material.
