Money from the European Union strengthened Poland

Poland is covered by a huge support from the European Union. It is a huge ‘air-bag’ that can amortize almost everything – vividly said Mikołaj Dowgielewicz, chair of the Office of the Committee for European Integration.

Dowgielewicz tried to convince everybody that there were more pros than cons connected with our European partnership. Poland received 30 billion euro within last five year while we paid in only 16 billion. Brussels gave us a lot of money for roads, bridges, schools, libraries, stadiums or other investments. Since 2007 till 2013 we can spend over 67.3 billion euro what can be very helpful for our economy. It is possible that our country will not feel worldwide economic crisis.

“Thanks to the European support our economy is very stable. We published 600 pages of our report about Polish five years in the European Union” said Dowgielewicz. According to this report our biggest benefits are: systematic rise in economy (6.7 % in 2007 while in 2003 it was only 3.2 %), foreign investments (16.6 billion euro), Polish agriculture became very rich (90 % richer than before our European access), an increase of export. What is more, no internal boarders mean that Polish products are very competitive in European countries.
