In other categories awards were given to Lodz, Little Poland and Great Poland. Every winner will come back from Warsaw where the ceremony was held with a little statue and free marketing campaign worth 200 000 zloty.

Lublin was decided a winner for its consequent and long-term actions of building a reputation of the city. The local authorities in Lublin had a serious approach to this issue making a detail plan of action in 2007. Jury was impressed by three campaigns made by the city in 2008: "Be free, study in Lublin", "Lublin. Great climate" and "Lublin. It happens here".
