Millions of Euros for Lower Silesia

100 million Euros is to be shard among local authorities and tourist organizations in Lower Silesia.

South-west of Poland wants to use this money to lure western tourist with renewed monuments, modern hotels and hostels and posh health resorts. Money will be given to big cities and even small villages. Applications will be accepted until end of June and work will start in 2010.

 

Revolution awaits 11 small health districts in Lower Silesia. For 18 million Euro they will be able to design new walking paths, renew their monuments and parks. They have ambition to be as famous and attractive as they used to be before the WWII.

 

Other monuments of Lower Silesia will benefit too. Considerable amount of money will be spent on the largest mountain fortification in Europe in Silver Mountain (Srebrna Gora) or monastery in Lubiaz. Also mountanis hostels in Rudawy Janowicke, Samotnia in the Karkonosze Mountains will be renewd from that money.

 

There will be some new attractions in Capital of Lower Sliesia Wrocław. It is planed to builed a marina near to the Millenium Bridge, so that you could get there by ship!
